The "Gute Schokolade"
Snacking is desired! Piece by piece a pleasure and do something good at the same time. The "Gute Schokolade" is the climate-neutral fair trade product of Plant-for-the-Planet, the children and youth initiative. The aim of Plant-for-the-Planet is to reduce global CO2 emissions to zero by 2050. How they want to achieve this: To motivate us all to plant trees.
Plant-for-the-Planet
The schoolchild, Felix Finkbeiner, started a worldwide campaign in 2007 after a presentation for the school. Meanwhile, politics, companies and many prominent supporters have joined in.
THE OBJECTIVE: To plant 1,000 billion trees worldwide to create a CO2 balance, which each planted tree extracts CO2 from the atmosphere.
Ambassador for climate justice
Children are the ambassadors for climate justice in this project. In worldwide academies, children are trained with the help of other children to become ambassadors for climate justice.
Currently 88,000 children and young people from 74 countries are taking part in the campaign!
So far 13.6 billion trees have been planted in 193 countries with the help of adults.
On the planting area in Mexico, Plant-for-the-Planet plants a new tree every 15 seconds.
The "Gute Schokolade"
Good chocolate is the fair trade product of Plant-for-the-Planet. With 5 bars of chocolate sold, a new tree is planted again on the planting area in Mexico. The Good Chocolate is produced climate neutrally.
Do good with every piece. A bar of Good Chocolate is divided up differently. What do the pieces stand for? 20% of the proceeds of the Good Chocolate go to the children and youth initiative Plant-for-the-Planet, 18% go to climate-neutral production, 21% to fair trade, 10% support the academies of the ambassadors for climate justice, 14% for milk from the regions and 17% for the way to the consumer.
